Hi folks,
since my return from holidays I have in vain tried to open the www.irishacts.com site, THE Korg site par excellence ! Does anyone happen to know what's going on ?

regards,
john

Yes, the person who was doing the hosting took everyone's money and ran. A LOT of other sites are down too but it looks like they will get things back up but it's going to take a while until Daz gets back from holiday (vacation for us Americanos). Then they will have to change company names in order to get access back to their domain name and then go through all the problems/time of finding another host and getting setup and running again, so it may be a week or more before it's back up and running but it will be sooner or later.

Thanks for that info Tom. I just read the thread at Karma Lab and hope that it all gets sorted out without too much trouble.

I was wondering what was up myself. I saw that Irish Acts has been down for a few days. I figured it was taken out by hackers who seem to prey on BBS forums from time to time. But this story is unbelievable. I sure hope that Sharp can get things back in order and up and running again.

really upsetting news about one of the best (brand) keyboardsites around. I hope the guys in Ireland will be able to get things back on track.

Hi Guys.

Thanks a million for your support.
Well it’s been a pretty crazy few days so far. This is all like something straight out of a movie. All I can say is I hope they catch this guy and lock him up for MANY years.

Rumour has it he got away with an awful lot of money.

I don’t know exactly how many websites have been affected, but by the number of webmasters finally finding each other. It looks like he had a lot of customers.

One webmaster alone lost 11K.
We lost $400 + what it's costing us to start over.

Anyway.. all we can do is move on and make a fresh start. Tonight I’ve just got word back that Network Solution are going to get our domain name back for us. So… it’s only a matter of time now.

Kind Regards.
Sharp.

Sharp,

Glad to hear your back on the road to recovery.

I have two sites hosted on Network Solutions and you won't be sorry. Their support is outstanding and their service is top notch. You did the right thing!!!
