I saw this on another forum.............

<<<<<< I have been in contact with Yamaha Technical Department and as our members
have said about the new 1000 and 2000, they have 'Sensitivity' touch but no
'After Touch'

So members, if you are looking for a great keyboard between the 740 and the
9000, I suggest a second hand PSR 8000 is the keyboard for you, and members
who have the 8000, keep hold of them they are the best keyboard for holding
on to the value.

I hate aftertouch. It's always getting triggered by the wrong part - usualy my bass hand. Tough to play intricate bass lines without using a more forcefull dynamic touch. Ay least for me, it is. Bass is an "attitude" instrument, and needs to be played with a physical touch.
