Hi,
I´ve got three question concerning the E-MU E 4X, which I just bought used 2 month ago:
I look forward to install the 2 MB Flashrom for OS 4,10.
My questions are:
1. What is the limitation of the number of Sample-folders, when using a 18 GB harddisk - still 100?
2. What Types of 18 GB harddisks are working with the E4X? Is there an actual list somewhere on the net?
3. Can I also use ultra-wide harddisks and which?
Thanks for every answer.

Benny

Ok, now I heard from E-MU: Also with EOS 4.10 there ist still the limitation of 100 folders per disk. I think, then it doesn´t make too much sence, using an 18GB harddisk.

18 GB (or more) means that you can have deep/long samples...as long as you have enough sample memory to use them.

Folder limit of 100 just means that you can't organize your samples beyond 100 folders, but its not that big a deal. Read the manual and look at what a folder actually is, and you'll see that you'll probably never get close to 100 unless you are really anal about your disk organization.
