Looks like Cozumel took a direct hit and Cancun got nailed pretty hard as well. Hopefully, everyone is OK at both locations, but it will likely be a week before everyone gets power back. Tony's restaurant is just a block from the beach. With luck it was spared from any major damage.

Still have not heard from Tony. Cozumel took a hard hit from the storm, and while Cancun was slammed as well the damage was not as severe according to news reports.

I called the restaurant last night, but there was no answer. I suspect the lines are still down and he has no electricity yet. I'll try again today.

According to the news from the spanish channel directly from Mexico is that they don't have water or electricity in those areas yet.

Galavision Tv Stations are reporting that authorities sent everybody to shelters including tourists, I think Tony is OK, but it won't hurt to pray for him and his family.
