Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a new WK3200 or WK3700. I presently own a Casio WK3500, with stereo outputs on back.

I like to record from the keyboard into a program like Cool Edit on the computer, and was wondering if the headphone jack on the WK3200 would give me as "clean" an output as the stereo output jacks on the rear of the WK3700?

Thanks in advance for any responses....Bruce

I have the wk 3000, and record just fine...using the headphone out jack on the Casio, to the computer's line in. I cann't tell you if it is as good as the 3500 outputs, but it is a good sounding recording...to me. It would be different in that it is a 'powered' output...adjustable with the Casio volume control. So, it can be 'balanced' ..or overdriven...if you turn up the volume too high.

Hi Jim,
Meant to get back to you earlier. The headphone output on the WK3200 works great, just as you said. As a matter of fact, using the system I am using, (Cool Edit on computer) the impedance match between the computer and headphone jack is much better (low impedance) than the higher impedance outputs on the back of the WK3500. I'm enjoying the WK3200 very much. Some really nice improvements in some voices and styles particularly.
Regards...Bruce
