I heard all these demos and i noticed huge sound quality difference between PSR-3000 and S-900,the difference is that clear sounds, excellent trumpet shakes, very impressive sounds close to Tyros-2 and offcourse psr-3000 is a nice keyboard with good styles and so many new features added but the voices are not clear, little bit noisy and unpleasant.
The most important feature of a keybaord is its sound,i think S-900 is a very fantastic keybaord.

SUNNY.

Doesn't a tyros2 sound an awful lot like a tyros1 but for a few super articulation voices here and there? I would suppose the tyros 2 compares to the tyros1 exactly as the s900 to the 3000.

not really. every single instrument department of the tyros 2 has brand new voices that the T1 did not have...

new strings / brass / sax / guitars / organ / accoridans... i guess the only ones that remained the same are the woodwind / piano and Dance

even the new Live Power kits are totally different to anything that the T1 had.

According to the Demo DVD of the Tyros 2, all the voices of Tyros 1 are included with the Tyros 2 and many more have been added, also the overall sound system has improved making the Tyros 1 and Tyros 2 seem like chalk and cheese.
As to the S900, I think I am one of the few on SZ that has heard it played live, (Both demo and in concert) and I can assure you that it is way in advance of the 3000.

Those S900 TINY buttons are a hindrance to navigation watch him try to find them while hes playing & changing....
