I've been hearing distortion when using my Logitech Z2200 system. I isolated the distortion to one of the speakers. I was an organ tech for many years and have run across my share of blown speakers. Upon examination when I move the speaker cone in and out sure enough I hear a scratching sound. That has always been an indication of a blown speaker.

I'm looking for a replacement either from Logitech or aftermarket. The speaker is round and 3 inches in diameter. I don't know the impediance.

I know one person on the forum here has delt with Logitech with a problem and I believe he was treated very well by them. I don't really care if I get the replacement from Logitech as a whole satellite or I buy a speaker and put it in myself.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks Donny, I'm planning on using that site as a last resort. I'd still rather just replace only the actual speaker. Are you still wowing them on thurs nights at the Brick VFW?

Tom......maybe you can get in contact with parts /service at Logitec and just buy the speaker alone vs the full housing?

Six months ago I moved my Dance club to a much nicer location in a nearby town....

Tom,

Just call customer service and they'll replace it--no questions asked. I believe the speaker is 8 ohms, but you may want to check the specifications sheet that came with the system.

Good Luck,

Gary

I'm not sure if the z2200 are the same as the z5500 but I think they are, I have 4 5500's that are spares, Send me a pic of the bad one and if they look like a match I'll give you one, Need your ship address.
