This is the same Original Song (on Pa1X Pro) that I posted with Flute Solo. This has Distortion Guitar playing an Improvised Solo. Same Rules apply.. the melody is not based on notes but 'clusters of notes' that can be improvised on.

Hi Jerry,

first off I really like your song, very catchy easy going tune.
However I think your best version so far is the one with flute and accustic guitar.

Somehow the distorted guitar doesn't fit your song and doesn't do it justice.

I don't know, but somehow it is an accustic kind of song.

Thanks for sharing.

Eric

I felt that after the initial grounding of the riff had passed, it tended to lose a bit of direction, also some of the note clusters were very played very un-guitar like, it really showed what can be done on keys that guitarist's would find hard to play, for that I congratulate you. Sadly there are many things you can on a guitar that you cant do on keys.

Hi Eric and NJ,

Thanks so much for your constructive comments.. points well taken. Keep in mind that this song is based on improvisation (of certain notes with resting points) so there really is no riff to loose direction from. Each soloist improvises and perhaps considers what the soloist before him did in trying to come up with something different.. a new twist - a new run, etc.

I like the suggestion that the distortion guitar doesn't fit the mood of the flute that I first did.

I enjoy listening to all the Synth Zone Songs and so often learn a little tidbit or two from them.

Jerry
