Hello,
I have been composing a music piece in mixed Classical and Balkans genre. I use music paper and a pencil for notation. I would like to transfer my composition to the computer. That's why I am looking for computer notation software. It should be some kind of advanced notation software. It should be capable to notate the following:
- Change time and key signature in the middle of composition
- tuplets 5 sixteenth notes = 2 eighth notes
- grace-notes and group of grace-notes (like that in the beginnig of 'Rhapsody in Blue')
- grouppetto (a group of grace-notes; a turn)
- text labels (like 'piu mosso', 'Tempo 1', 'tempo rubato', etc)
- the ordinary things like flats, sharps and double-sharps and etc.

Could someone of you tell me if there is such program for PC?
Best regards,
George V

Try Sibelius - this is a favourite amongst a lot of pro composers - other programs like Coda Finale are more appropriate for actual typesetting.

Thank you, Insider. I looked at the Sibeluis' website. It seems that this is the program I'm looking for.

Sibelius comes linked to a music scanning application. Depending how neat your writing has been, you may be able to scan some of your past work in, but you will need the professional version.

I have successfully scanned in handwritten scores a number of times, you miss a few things, but it's easier than starting from scratch.

PraiseTheLord,
I noticed this interesting tool. Unfortunately, my handwriting is bad. Moreover, I use the eraser very much (that is, I don't have the genius of Mozart who used to write his music without crossing out of notes) and my sheet music is unreadable to some extent.
Regards,
George
