Hello,

I am sure many of you use a computer for sequencing or recording and maybe someone had a similar experience as myself.

I am trying to connect my laptop to my keyboard amp, Roland KB300, but if the laptop is using power cord there is strong noise comming from the amp.
If I disconect the power cord, which forces the laptop to use its batteries the noise dissapears. I have used several cords to connest the laptop to my amp and all are of very good quality, but that doesn't change anything.
It looks that when the transformer inside the laptop works, the amp is picking up the noise.

Anybody knows how could I solve the problem ?

Thanks
007

Hi,

that happened to me a few months ago..... the Hun wasn't there when the Lap top was just working on the battery the problem was the A/C adapter. I got a new one off ebay and it was fine.

Make sure the amp and the laptop are plugged into the SAME wall outlet. That is the largest source of hum going.
