Please help
I have a zip disk for the G1000 with lots of data on, and everything works fine on the G1000, then I just bought a Iomega 250 mb. drive, and when I write new data on my 100 mb. disk everything looks fine on my computer, but when I insert the disk on my G1000 I cant see the new files I just put on the disk. what is wrong? I have a job in the weekend and I need to have it work before that.

Twice, how are you loading songs on your zip cartridge? If you are copying from your computer directly to the Zip ..they will not show in the G1000..You either copy directly from the G1000 built in zip to the external zip via copy function[takes time], or from floppies via the same copy function..

The best and quickest way is to download the Roland Data Base Manager software..then you can use your computer to load a zip that will read in the G1000..

Remember if you edit a zip using the computer..that is to save or delete a file it will void the possibility that the zip will read on the G1000...When you add a file , save the file from your computer to a floppy, then copy the floppy to the G1000..this will assure no problems..

Twice , if you only want to make a backup of your other zip..you can format the new zip via the G1000, then using the external zip drive, save your G1000 zip with your data to a folder on your main hard drive.Be carfull not to edit anything, just copy to your C drive..
Second step is to copy the contents of the new folder[not the folder, only the saved contents], onto the new formatted zip..It will ask you if you want to overrite the sub folders..to this answer yes...After a few minutes the new zip can read in your G1000 or Zip 250 connected to the G1000 via SCSI...
