I've been away from this stuff for a while and just noticed that 2.04 is available. I did a search and found there were problems with 2.03, but no comments about 2.04. Before I upgrade I wanted to see if anyone is having any problems with 2.04 or for that matter if anyone is using it yet.

Thanks for your time.

When 2.04 was first released it had some problems so Yamaha pulled it then re-released it. To my knowledge several people here are now using the current 2.04 OS release, including me, and none have reported any problems.

Regarding OS 9000Pro. To my knowledge it was OS v2.03 that Yamaha deleted twice, due to reported faults. Altough a German Ver OS 2.04 was reported to have contained a fault.
Always download the Version for your country.
The newest OS V2.04 works fine without a problem in my 9000Pro.

Here is the link for the UK. http://www.yamahapkclub.com/english/whatsnew/main_whn.html

Graham, you are right with the statement concerning 2.03. V2.03 was the one with the sampler bug and is discontinued.

But it's not true that there are country specific versions of the OS available. What is downloadable from the PKClub is the same you get e.g. from a German Yamaha site. Maybe sometimes it's packaged a little bit different in the ZIP file, but the OS itself it the same.

Also on my PRO the 2.04 is working fine, but I don't see a difference compared to the 2.02. The timing problem of the PRO, which should be improved as stated in the release notes from Yamaha, is basically the same in 2.04. I don't hear a difference and I still have problems with some styles and midis. Some German users reported, 2.04 is even worse as the 2.02 with the timing, but I cannot confirm that.

Urich. Thanks for the OS feedback regarding the OS being the same for all countries, I thought they may have been slightly different.
I know the Flash Styles set-up is different for the UK and possibly the 2 Set-up disks.
