As you might have heard on the news by now, flames are still continuing to move over here in San Diego, Southern California.
I'm about 15 minutes away from homes that have already been destroyed by what seems to be an unstoppable firestorm.
The whole sky is really dark, air is really hard to breathe...
Let's hope that this will come to an end very soon.

Claude

Take care Claude and keep safe.

I was watching this on the BBC earlier and it looks awful. So many people who have lost everything. I hope it stops soon and before it gets any nearer to you.

Best wishes
Tony

Hi Claude: I especially sympathize with what you guys are dealing with in San Diego right now as I vividly remember the terrible Oakland Hills we experienced up here back in Oct 91. My back yard got filled with smoke and ash. I even had several friends who lost their homes completely. It's amazing how quickly fire can spread, especially with all the dry hot weather we're experiencing in CA this year. Potential Fire danger warning are posted on roads everywhere around here.

Claude, hope you stay safe. - Scott

Thanks everyone for your kind replies.

Work has been canceled pretty much everywhere for most San Diegan tomorrow as as most of the main freeways are closed. Looks like it's going to be a long night for our brave firefighters. Some of my coworkers sadly reported that they've lost their homes.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that this will be better tomorrow.

Claude,
hope that everything will work out fine for you and all the people who live in the San Diego area.

These fires were just waiting to happen. The brush and timber in this area is 'extremely' dry since were in a drought and we've been having these hot days of late. Hopefully they will get the fires under control soon.

Best regards,
Mike
