Hope all the old timers here were sitting down when they saw this subject title.

Ya, I'm going to experiment. At this stage I think the pitch corrector would be very handy indeed. haha

Scott,

Sorry, but the Tyros does NOT have pitch correction. It only has vocal harmony.

You need a higher end unit for pitch correction.

Hey Al

You'e got to be kiddin'. Seems to me that even the PSR2000 had that feature.

Golly, if that's actually the case, that would mean I might acutally have to really learn how to sing.

Does the 1500 or 3000 have that feature?

I don't think any arranger has that feature. The PSR1500 & PSR3000s don't have that. I am certain that it is a feature we will see in the future.

The only gizmo I've seen pitch correction on was an external vocal harmonizer, and even then you couldn't be off more than a half-note at most or it couldn't handle it either. Sorry Scott, guess you gotta' take them voice lessons after-all!

The G-70 has pitch correction...(and even a vocoder)

Fran,

I believe that most of the later PSR's have some pitch correction with the harmonized voices, but I don't believe this effects the lead voice.

BTW: The PSR-3000 also has a vocoder that can be used in several modes. However, IMO, most, if not all, internal vocal processors are pale in comparison to the better external processors--even after lots of tuning. This is one area where keyboard manufacturers have really dropped the ball. I for one would have gladly paid considerably more for an internal vocal processor with equal quality to the Digitech VR or TC Helicon. That's why I, and many other performers, use an external processor instead of the onboard model, but that's another post.

Cheers,

Gary

Love the Vocal Harmonizer on the SD1. Way better than Yamaha. I don't know if it has pitch correction. I don't think so.

The Tyros has no pitchcorrection for vocals.

The PA1XPRO has the feature in it, but to get it (the TC plugin) activated Korg wants a lot of money. (In DEMO mode it works for a few minutes)

The SD1's vocalizer is in MONO... don't know why they did this..... no pitch correction.
