Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you all know how everything has been going with the new, awesome Yamaha PSR740 and home studio!

First of all, just recently, I have been trying to figure out a way to record my music from the incredible PSR740 into .wav format in order for you to listen to my music. You all really helped me when I posted out my tech question regarding MIDI to WAV...and, because of the wonderful people here, my family and I finally bought a stereo cable that works perfectly with the PSR740!

After buying the stereo cable, we then hooked up the PSR740 to our family's PC!!! I was amazed at how simple it was! The stereo cable simply plugged into the soundcard (input) and the two plugs connected to the PSR740! And because of your help, we can now record our music direclty to .wav format! So, that means that you will be listening to our music very soon!!! I am so excited...this is such a wonderful opportunity...I would have never dreamed that this was possible! Yamaha and the special people here at the SynthZone made this possible!

Many of you recommended free programs for me to use. So, I am using Total Recorder and MPEG Suite! Total Recorder will be used for the .wav recording, and MPEG Suite for the converting to MP3! Even though Total Recorder only allows 40 seconds of recording, that is perfect for our audio demos!

Also, if you have any advice for me when recording my music to .wav format, please feel free to let me know!

This is such an adventure to me...you all, including YAMAHA of course, have actually inspired me to create many new songs! And again, don't worry, you will get to listen to them very soon!

Well, I just wanted to let you know how everything has been going! Thanks a lot everybody...I'll post out my music when it is ready and update you further about the PSR740...see you all around and enjoy your day,
Ryan

Ryan,
You can get the full version of Total Recorder, which allows unlimited recording time, simply by registering. It costs $11.95.
If you will email me privately, I will be more than happy to get the full version for you.

Ryan,

I have accumulated a bunch of freeware stuff over time just surfing around the net. I have 2 freeware audio recording programs that you can use that will not limit you at all. Both programs allow you to record up to 4 tracks of audio. I have quite a few of other types of freeware programs too including software sequencers and style maker / converter programs that will work nicely with the 740. Email me if you're interested. I'll be happy to send them to you. I have them zipped so I can send them as soon as you would like

Korg AJ

Thanks for the generous offers!!! You all are wonderful...you have given me so much, and now, you are willing to help me out even more!

Don, thank you for the offer...you do not have to do that! Besides, AJ offered to send me the programs for FREE...I do not want you to spend any money! My point is that I would rather have the program from AJ, instead of having you spend $12 when I could simply get it for free! But, thank you so much for the generous offer, Don! You have really helped me out a lot!

AJ, thank you for the offer too! I do not want Don spending money on that program, so I will accept your generous offer! Thank you so much and I really appreciate your help, this means a lot to me. What are the names of the free programs? I am really curious and looking forward to hearing from you, so you can e-mail me at:
composerryancontact@yahoo.com

Again, thank you for the offers! You people are really special, thank you for your help. See you around everyone and have a nice day,
Ryan

I also have a version of Magix studio on disc that works fine but I don't use it at all because I already have Cakewalk, XG works and N track studio. I used it a bit but then I took it off the computer because I have more than enough programs on it already, but I still have the disc. I think it does both audio and Midi. I'll be happy to send it out to you Ryan. Check your email.
