Hi, I just recieved my Tyros last week, good keyboard.
I also have a KN 7000. Good keyboard.

My question:
Is there a way to adjust the volumes of the individual accmp. parts in a style. I know I can turn it off, and raise or lower the volume of the complete style, but I do not see a volume control for the individual parts. I really do not want to go thru edit and save.

In my KN 7000 screen I have the volume controls at the bottom of the screen.

Would appreciate your help, John C.

You need to go to the mixer section, and toggle to the window for Vol. There, you can adjust tones, volumes, and pan for each part.
Pressing the mixer button succesivly takes you trough each section (midi 1-8, midi 9-16, styles, realtime etc....)

There's a way to go directly to the page. First hit Direct Access, then, one of the buttons in the Variation, Fill-in row. I forget which one, but try them until you find the right one.
Then you will always be two quick button pushs away from the right page.

Bruno: The specific button to press following the 'Direct Access' button, which takes you DIRECTLY to the style part volume level adjustment field is the: 'Intro III' button.

I find this particular 'direct access' button shortcut VERY helpful & use it quite often. The Yamaha Direct Access function often gets overlooked so thanks to Don Mason for reminding us of it.

Here are some more Direct Access shortcuts:

Direct Access Button + Intro 1,2, or 3 =
Individual Style parts: VOICE, BALANCE, & VOLUME

Direct Access Button + Vari A or B =
Individual Style parts (filter): HARMONIC CONTENT, BRIGHTNESS

Direct Access Button + Vari C or D =
Individual Style parts (effects): REVERB, CHORUS

Direct Access Button + Break =
Individual Style parts (effects): DSP

Direct Access Button + Ending 1, 2, =
Individual Style parts (EQ): HIGH, LOW

Direct Access Button + Ending 3, =
CMP Master Compressor

Direct Access Button + Music Finder button =
Music Finder Search window

Direct Access Button + EXIT =
Main LCD Screen Page, from no matter what window display screen (sub level) you're currently at.

All other Direct Access Button shortcuts are outlined on page 21 of the Tyros Data List manual.
