Hi,

When playing on gigs, especially wedding party's and other party's, you have a repetoire ready to play in most cases.

There are some very good 'partysongs' around, that everyone (or almost everyone) knows and likes or just likes without knowing the song. I just don't have such a big repetoire yet. I'm only 16 years old, playing 12 years now and want to build up such a repetoire. So my question to you is; Do you know good songs for party's?

My goal is to create a list, containing all those songs and also publish that list here for others to use. The list will be published only on this board in MS Excel format, so you can also sort the list by Artist.

For example songs that I mean are like:

Bad Moon Risin' - Creedence Clearwater Revival
Walk of Life - Dire Straits
I Wish - Stevie Wonder
Yellow River - Christie
Top of the World - Carpenters
Rock around the clock - Bill Haley and the Comets
Celebration - Kool & the Gang

Songs that I not mean are for example: The girl from Ipanema.

So please help me and others and submit the nice songs you know .

The firs one is Creedence Clearwather Revivial or something like that.

I'm not sure, but Yellow River I think it
was a group/guy called Christie.
Bill = Bill Haley and the Comets.

My "partial" list is 23 pages long, in MS Works spreadsheet format. You're welcome to it if you want.

I have sent you my bundle lyrics chords and set out to suit single regs on x1 -- but songs should be of value. I will get to select "best" when I get time perhaps tonight or this week Best of luck -just imagine you are getting it right at 16 and I am only getting it right at 55. Pierce in Ireland
