anyone heard about a successor to sd1+ in the works,
what it may be like, or when it will arrive? Sd5 is cool
.... except that it is even heavier than the sd1..what is this
trend toward heavier units that seems to have followed a
trend toward lighter ones..the lighter ones didn't sell? Or
is this like the Mcdonald's "Supersize Me" syndrome?

The SD5 is approx the same weight and size as the SD1 ~ 38 lbs. They use the same shell.
