Hello all,

Unless I missed it...Was anybody planning on doing one of those great 'in-depth reviews' on the Ketron SD1 with OS 4.0 installed?

You know, like the one George K. did on the Genesys last year, and then the one George K. did on the Tryos this past summer. Great reviews, well written, very informative.

Not trying to single out George here, just using him as an example.

Any review written by anybody would be very welcome, I'm sure.

as AJ wrote, OS 4.0a is due in less than two weeks, so...

Hey Mike ,

I tried 4.0 at NAMM and was very happy with the new developments .

14 disk are needed to upgrade the SD1 up to 4.0 .
Save all new information onto a folder of the hard drive . Call up the folder and load all new data from the hard drive .

You will get ............
Improved electric pianos
Improved organ sounds
198 improved styles ( all X1 styles carried over to Sd1 ) and brand new styles .

You now have the ability to isolate any part of a style in real time . Kind of an "unplugged" feature for styles .

With the new OS ,loaded styles are easier to call up and access . All additional patterns/styles are stored on a master folder of the hard drive , giving you access of up to 999 styles at any givin time .


Drum and bass feature is now assignable to the footswitch .

Great improvements !
