Hi All,

Just wanted to share my excitement. I've ordered a PA1X Pro today. Should be with me tomorrow.

Thanks to all who helped me to come to a decision and thanks Spalding for all the numbers (I ordered from one of the places you recommended).

Can't wait.

David.

Congrats dschultze, be sure to keeep an eye on the Korg PA1X Forums in "Irish Acts" Korg PA1X & PA1X Pro Discussions

And, more recently, the thread entitled:
"News announced for Pa1x" In which a new operating system (Ver 2.6) is going to be releases (I think )

Might consider getting one myself - If the price is right (Whitley bay's prices are £1999 I believe)

Except the precious informations of the diverse interventions in this forum, what was, for you, personnally, the decisive element for the PA1X pro (sounds and styles quality, 76 keys, sampling function...) ?

Hi All,

My new toy has arrived. I can't wait to get home and get the thing unpacked.

Regarding the reasons behind my decision here's what led me to choose the Korg...

- I'm currently using a Mac and intend to use Logic Pro and the Korg appears to be geared very well for this system.

- The Korg included a hard disk as standard and therefore no additional expense was required for an upgrade.

- Korg offers a 76 key option.

- The TC Helicon harmoniser!

- Korg seem to be focussed on customer service, upgrades and add-ons more than others.

Overall my final decision was between the Korg and the Yamaha and to be honest the sound quality and playability is superb on either. It was a hard choice and I think I would be very happy with either. Eventually I think the decision was entirely based on technical merit for my personal needs.

As I said before the only real solution would be to buy both.

David.

For those of you that are into contemporary music, i really dont think that the PA1X can be beat. Simply unbelieveable. This is the board i have been searching for over the last 3 years !!!! Hallelujah

Spalding, just out of interest, have you ever tried a Korg Triton Studio, (or any modern synth), and if so, how do the actual "voices" measure up to the PA1X?

I'm happy for you guys.
I have just ordered the Tyros2 but now want to add a Korg arranger. I am now trying to decide if should I spend "easy" and pickup the PA50 or should I go for PA80... but if I read more comments like yours... I'll just order the PA1X Pro
I know, I know... it will lead to packing my things up if wife finds out, but I want to have best of both worlds

cheers
