I use Registration Memory to store custom song section setups (AABA, verse , chorus, bridge, etc) for a specific given song. This allows me to perform an entire song only needing to remember to trigger one footswitch pedal (assigned to registration increment) to trigger setup changes (instrument voices, key transposition, tempo changes, etc) at each section of a song. I typically set up 4 to 8 (or more) registrations for any given song or song medley.

Is it possible to ‘delete’ the contents as well as ‘turn off’ the corresponding light of an individual Registration button which already has something previously stored?

In other words, suppose I initially saved 5 individual setups in registration buttons #1 thru #5 for a given song, and then later decided that I only needed Registration setups buttons #1 thru #4 for this song. Is it possible to delete the contents of button #5 and make its corresponding (green) light go out as well?

When performing, I'd like to be able to just glance at the number of Registration Memory lights lite up to determine how many Registsration setups will be required for that particular song. Currently, it appears that once a Registration Memory is stored, it can only be replaced by another setting, but not actually deleted. I’m hoping someone here can tell me otherwise. If deleting the contents of an indiviual Reg Memory button is not currently possible, I strongly urge Yamaha to consider adding this function.

Thanks, - Scott
