Scott,
I'm not certain you can compare the Tyros 2 sounds and styles against SD1. To my knowledge you spent a very limited time auditioning the SD1, and none of us has personally heard the T2 in the U.S.
I'm ready to like the new Tyros, but as I've said before, it has a lot of ground to make up on the SD1. Time and my own ears will tell if it is a "contender".
