Ok, here's the dimensions & weights which were given to me:

Tyros 2:
L: 1140mm (44.88"), D: 450mm (17.72"), H: 137mm (5.39")
Weight: 14.5 kg (31.97 lb)

Tyros1:
L: 1140mm (44.88"), D: 428mm (16.85"), H: 137mm (5.39")
Weight: 12.4 kg (27.34 lb)

I suspect the 4.63 lb weight difference may be mostly due to the new Tyros2 'keyboard action' designed & built specifically to best showcase the new Super Articulation voices. I spoke today with one of the keyboard artists who demonstrated the new Tyros2 at the Tyros presentation for UK for dealers last week, and he told me that he felt Tyros2 has a noticeably more responsive keyboard action/feel than Tyros1, 'inspiring' him to play a lot more expressively, helping to bring out the realism of the Super Articulation instruments. Though Tyros2's Keyboard action's not as impressive as on the Roland G70 (imho, the G70's got the best keyboard action of any portable arranger out there), it's a substantial improvement over Tyros1, and miles ahead of any of the Yamaha PSR series keyboards. I can't wait to get my hands on mine now. - Scott
