I don't know about you guys, but I think you have to be more familiar with other kinds of music than the "western" music to appreciate Yanni's compositions.

I fell in love with his music more than 12 years ago, before I even knew his name. A friend gave me this tape and I loved the music and not till 3-4 years later till I realized this was some guy named Yanni.

I have to admit I like his earlier stuff more than the later, and the ACROPOLIS (sp?) album is my favorite of his work.


For his music to be featured at the last olymics here in Atlanta, has to mean something about his compositions though
