Back in the 80s I played in a band called The Name that used to open for INXS. We had to share a dressing room with them ( they weren't quite as famous as they are now ) and they had a pretty extravagent platter of appetisers and a full bar. They were actually very down to earth guys, basically surfers from Sydney that got together to form a dance/rock band. A great band to open for in front of over 1,000 people. We didn't make a lot of money doing opening sets like that but it sure was fun playing through a big concert PA system with a huge lighting show to a lot of people. We also opened for The Divinyls on a couple of occasions as well.
