Michael, I teach statistically significant research at the graduate level and conduct perception research for international organizations.

Research efforts like this are like peeing in a pair of dark pants. You don't see anything, you just get this nice warm feeling.

Research efforts designed to support pre-drawn suppositions is just wrong, in my opinion.

Research without drawing a random sample and figuring the standard error of measurement (R value) is close to useless when used to support/justify actions.

I'd be carfeful using the results of this effort to try to sway knowledgable investors.

A nice warm feeling may be what you're after, and that's fine.

For anything else, it's pretty questionable.
What you'll end up with is a bit of interesting but marginal data. It's what makes us in the field shutter a little when we think about it.
