I have been going in circles for a week with Vonage..
I am trying to use Vonage with my DSL line..After two hours with Vonage techs last week..they determined it was a faulty modem[Motorola VT2142]...I received another today ..same problem..no internet or ethernet connections..Spent another hour with techs going over the same thing..They suggested a compatibility issue with Cavaliers modem..asked me to check the speed[both use 100mps]..So that was not the problem
Cavtel suggest waiting 1 or 2 hours for Vonage to connect...No go..
I called Vonage back, and they wanted to start from the beginning again...I told them no way, give me your best techie..I was on hold for a half hour, and finally hung up..
Any ideas...my next call to vonage is for another RA number...then they can pick up both units.......and return my money..
I only want this to retain my old business number...I think I will look for a cheap land phone company,,I only want to recieve calls on this number anyway..
