My personal experience as a dealer[past tence] as follows: 13% of gross profit of sales are needed to cover operating exspenses..15-20 percent mark is not a lot,and far from goughing.If you include time spent after a sale it can be a real bargain for a customer..Your MI stores do not make huge profits. It is very competitive and all potential customers know cost factors[A or B discounts etc].. You can feel asured , your local dealer for the vast majority is fair on pricing..Most home piano stores are usually a different matter, with higher mark ups.But I give them credit..They outlast the MI dealers..
