Why so many kn7000's

I am wondering why so many kn7000's are showing up on ebay so soon. and going somewhat cheap. I've even had people emailing me with offers. What's up? Usually it takes some time for a new keyboard to show up?

if you look you see many shops who are selling the 7000! Why? probably because it is not selling very good, so shops with a couple of these instruments try to get there money back by selling it for a insane price (like 2100 - 2500 euro). altough it is a very good instrument it's not popular so that's why! I that manner i've got mine for 2300 euro - new in the box with 2 year waranty - i have even buy the waverom cards 3 and 4 for it for a price! ;-)

So who cares? Who's complaning? i not because i have a very good instrument for a ridicul price!

The reason they are selling so many KN7000's on Ebay is because they are making money on them. Many people don't realize that Technics prices at most dealers are greatly inflated and the actual dealer cost and price they can sell it for is quite low. Its not hard to find a new SX-KN7000 for $2400-$2500 here in the USA its just a mattter of contacting the right retailer. I've heard of people paying $3,000-$4,000 and more for a KN7000 which bothers me. That means the retailer who sold it to them gouged them for a lot of money. Granted, they still bought an excellent keyboard but they paid far more than they should have for it.

The Yamaha Tyros is another example of inflated retail. The actual dealer cost on a Tyros is low enough that finding a new Tyros at $2200-$2300 should be easy but most dealers are selling them for $2600 or more. I'm all for my local dealer making money but at a certain point it becomes ridiculous what they try to charge. Just my .02 cents.

Wow! I don't know about the rest of you guys but my head is spinning and my eyes are crossed. Think my head is starting to hurt from this logic.

I just visited E-Bay and there was one KN7000 and the bid was at $2700 and going up

One is not many.
$2700 + is not cheap.

Also as a brother to a music store owner, I believe your profit margin to dealers may be exaggerated.

My personal experience as a dealer[past tence] as follows: 13% of gross profit of sales are needed to cover operating exspenses..15-20 percent mark is not a lot,and far from goughing.If you include time spent after a sale it can be a real bargain for a customer..Your MI stores do not make huge profits. It is very competitive and all potential customers know cost factors[A or B discounts etc].. You can feel asured , your local dealer for the vast majority is fair on pricing..Most home piano stores are usually a different matter, with higher mark ups.But I give them credit..They outlast the MI dealers..

And lets not forgot those so called new KN7000 on ebay are not from music dealers but individuals. You will not see a "Dealer" selling new keyboards on e-bay. There is no factory warrantee on parts and labor, Technics USA does not warantee 3rd person purchases. Also, you have to be an authorized repair person to buy parts now for Technics products no matter what or how the keyboard breaks. If not you must go back to your dealer. They may say there is a warrantee but a quick check with Technics USA will substantiate what I am saying. No warrantee for a better price - perhaps not a good deal at any price.

At this moment there are 2 kn7000's for sale. 1 at 2799 & 1 at 2000 w/ free shipping and one just sold for $2650 and many more previously. When I was looking for a 6500 they were few and far between for a long time and they haven't been numerous until the 7000 came out.
