No - you did miss as this was not explained.

What you can do is ... (as you stated above) - hardly would ANYONE need 22 marker points - so you can simply assign e.g ARR D to the complete audio/wav of the file, that is the entire song - uncut!

So when you pay all the other parts, you trigger them but if/when you start to become forgetfull or just want to JAMM to the entire song and stop 'typing' buttons, simply press D and jam away.

Yes, that is the EVM/EVENT streaming from the SSD in real time. You just have to make sure your wave files are cut PERFECTLY so you do not 'hear/have' any hick ups as you transition between parts!
