Me, I’ve got style data and SMF’s that goes back to the early 90’s (as have many of us!). Admittedly, I doubt that I’ll need it in another 30 years, but hopefully I’ll outlast a ten year SSD!


Depends on the quality of the discs (Even big names have made some that won't last long, as for century's, there are a select few (Archival discs) that will last a seriously long time, but they are uber expensive and its unlikely your files are stored on them. (If you are not going to use them for another 30yrs, make sure you have a backup, as it unlikely that your discs will be readable in a much shorter time than that)
An SSD has a lifetime of reads/writes, if however, you are not using it that much (Just for storage) they could last for decades or more.
