I’ve had many SSD’s and USB sticks go bad. They are robust though in regular use. But most computer sites say they’re good for about ten years or so of reliability. As long as you don’t use them much.

Optical discs on the other hand, as long as handled properly are good for centuries.

Me, I’ve got style data and SMF’s that goes back to the early 90’s (as have many of us!). Admittedly, I doubt that I’ll need it in another 30 years, but hopefully I’ll outlast a ten year SSD!
