Tom. Maybe some one will tell us what we are doing, but I think we are changing 4/4 time to 2/2. I agree that the fills can be a problem but I only use half the fill- you just have to work out when to press the button, My Roland has a half bar fill which is an asset for this.Some of the latin styles are good treated this way.Songs that are good to play this way have a vertical line through the C in the key signature which means they are meant to be played 2/2 not4/4.Cheers, Jean.
