You should never upgrade an OS until you are SURE that every last application you use in your usual workflow has been either updated for the new OS or confirmed (by users on its forum, not some PR blurb!) that it works problem free on the new OS without an update.

That includes your audio interface drivers, DAW, any software arranger editors, any financial and booking software, calendars etc..

If your business or even your hobby revolves around a functioning computer system, you should ensure that everything you use on a regular basis is confirmed to be compatible with the new OS. While business productivity software is often ready to go when Apple or Microsoft roll out a new OS, quite often little music software companies lag by a few months. Don’t find out too late! 😱🎹😎
