The thing for me is, most of the time you play a keyboard sound, it loads with its associated insert effect. As far as the casual player is concerned, it’s easier if there are enough inserts that they never have to scratch their heads trying to work out why the same sound in a style part sounds very different!

The more advanced player can probably get used to working around effects issues and routing, strangely enough it’s the beginner that needs more effects the most!

As integral to main sounds as the insert effects are, it’s hard to imagine there isn’t a huge sonic difference between the SX600 and the SX700 upwards...
