So sometime ago approx 2 years I gave up gigging because my past cancer. I use to own Ketron Audyas, Korg PA4x, qsc's speakers and Mackie mixers etc.... and SOLD EVERYTHING!!

I kept an old Ketron x1 just to play around with but haven't used it in a very long time. So yesterday I decided to hook everything up just for fun. I borrowed an Alto Live 1202 mixer, ran some cables and hook everything up to a very good home stereo.

My findings:

The Alto Live 1202 is ok for live sound but horrible for DAW mixing. My Mac computer doesn't even recognize the mixer. So I have to go out I get a new one.

I have to record from the Mac so quality is not the best.

I love the X1 but I think its time to retire it and get something decent like a Ketron SD7 or a Korg Pa1000.

Studio monitors, I don't know. I have a really high end Technics amp with technics speakers, but maybe down the road.

I will never gig again, so I'm looking forward to do a lot of home studio work.
