Thanks Steve, as you can see, I like old and I like blue (as in 'bluesy'). I also like grooves that 'push' a little. Except for Korg, I don't feel the 'pulse' (sync, I guess) from most of the arranger swing/jazz styles. They just seem too much 'on the beat' for my taste....but that's just me. For the majority of folks, it's just fine. This will likely start a firefight but for me, Korg is hands down the best for nailing a 'groove' feel, especially in this genre'. Although it seems to be trending at the moment, I have to admit that I'm not a big Ketron fan (the truth will set you free

). When I say Ketron, I'm referring to the styles, not the instrument...although with arrangers, styles DO pretty much define the instrument. Obviously, it just a matter of personal taste. Certainly my opinion is no more valid than anyone else's. Just not my cup of tea.
As for 'Since I fell for you', I love the old Buddy Johnson version but check out the Al Jarreau version, it's killer. Are you back home in Rhody yet?
