Even then that stuff was heavy and I couldn't imagine trying to do it now.
Last Hammond. I moved was my studio Cherrywod B3 and I struggled with just the dollies!
Those solid oak dollies weighed as much as a full modern-day rig. Remember how quickly the other band members could disappear when it was moving time
....and PLEASE LORD, PLEASE, NO STEPS
(or high stage). Plus, I don't remember getting paid any more than the sax guy.....and WE had to buy a van. So tell me again how much fun we had
. Wouldn't take a million dollars for having gone through it but wouldn't give a plugged nickel to go back.
