Hi Larry,
it did take me a few weeks to do the original sorting of styles and naming them, but with the list, it probably would only take a few days. If I were to start from scratch( armed with the list), I'd be inclined to maybe download the .cst's in smaller batches and sort them as I went.
Having had a closer look, I've come to the same conclusion that it doesn't appear that midifiles can be loaded to the sd card and read by the KN. Of course you can load anything from a computer to an sd card ( via a card reader), but that doesn't mean the KN7000 will recognize it.
I suppose the midifiles would have to be loaded into the KN and saved as songs instead.
I actually have a few of the Technote Play Along series of disks, which comprise of styles as well as sequencer parts (songs). I downloaded them to my SD card. It was interesting to note that loading them via floppy took quite some time, whereas loading them from the SD card only took a few seconds.
Glad to hear the instructions and list are helping some members. Hope you were able to make sense of them.
best wishes
Rikki

Thanks for sharing your method of saving "styles". It does prove a point that it took you a "few weeks" to work out a system for copying these files. It had to be a lot of work
Good luck with midis. Trying to get the kn7000 to read midi files from a reader/writer and computer is as far as I know impossible .
Thanks Aagin for the instructions
