I LOVE the sound of my two 147 RV's when they are three feet behind me, but when someone sits in and I'm more than 10 feet away, those Leslies sound like a tremolo effect.

Always wondered why Beatles music played in restaurants was played with no lead voices. Then I realized voices, for some reason, were panned all the way to one side. Cheap traditional sound systems (the ones with the cans in the ceiling)were mono. I fixed a bunch of them by simply using an adapter that summed the signal into a mono out.

I'm still using an 8 channel Carvin 600 watt mono head or an 800 watt 10 channel Yamaha stereo, which I set either for stereo or, if I'm powering monitors, two mono signals out.

Works for me.
