Based on the ever changing / improving computer hardware, is it wiser (more frugal) to :
1) Get a computer; MIDI controller; portable P.A.
-or-
2) Get a "one man band" arranger keyboard, with microphone input and integrated speakers?

And what would be ideal units for #2?

The ministry side may wind up with donations of orphan MIDI modules and such, which may or may not require a lot of analog mixing capability.
We're really not sure what is the best course to steer.
