Rethink our buying habits and needs.


Don't rush into buying what we think we need... Think it out!!..
We have all made buying mistakes but don't seem to learn our lesson.

One lesson I learned a long time ago.. You can never go wrong with the best..

We are looking for bargain items and we expect them to meet our needs...They will not!!

There are always short comings and an extended wish list.

Not just in our instrument choices but any purchases in tools we use as our trade..

Over the years I have seen Contractors buy trucks that are not full size or have compacities to do the job.

The same contractor would not buy houshold grade ladders and expect them to be
serviceable in commercial use.

I believe we should use the same mentality with our musical tools,
especially if you need them as your profession.

I can not understand why we need to make compromises, for the sake of weight , size, etc..

I want the best tools for any project.. even at this point in my life.

If you prefer a nice key action and like 76 keys... then that is what you should get.

The top of the line models trump the lower models in every way..

We try to convince ourselves otherwise, but are kidding ourselves..

I can remember some guys here pre 40 years of age complaining about 35-45 pound keyboards..
The problem is not the weight,
it is the physical condition of it's owner. Work on that..

I like that I have the features I need in one instrument, and the quality in build and sounds...
found in top of the line,
compared to the MOTL models...

45 pounds is not too heavy for an everything instrument...
Guys will compromise product to save 10-15 pounds, and then add external
gear to try and compensate for the lack of features and quality... It doesn't work..

And the loss in value grows with every sub standard purchase.. experimenting is dollar loss..

Buy the best... if you need to save up ..do it..

Even a top model that is 20 years old can benefit you more than buying cheap gear..


Just trying to provoke some thought, before you guys jump into another purchase
that will be on EBAY in a couple months..
