I, like others, am a creature of habit, so much so that I forgot the beautiful textures, and expressive manner of full keyboard mode. For example, I am the principle lead in my band, and have been using the same old split keyboard mode. What I want to do is layer voices underneath another soloist, like piano and strings or a thousand different possibilities suitable for a song. Having static left and right voices isn't as good as playing ensemble and creating background movement.

So----
I know I can accomplish this with an arranger, but how easy and well ?
I have been looking at the Yamaha MOXF6 as a used, reasonable solution. I don't need a Motif or Kronus because of complexity, weight, and price.

Besides the band, I have dinners to play that might benefit from different ethereal voices, for example. Am I having another attack fo gear lust, or, does this idea have some merit from this august body?
