At the restaurant I played last Saturday, the regular player (keys/sax/flute - been there over 10 years) uses the BOSE L1 - I believe model 2, I know it's not the compact ... I've used it in the past and thought it sounded good, and the line array seems perfect for this room because it is over 100 feet long and about 50 feet wide ... one time I sat in for him, he needed to use the BOSE on another gig and I used my Podium 10s ... the staff commented to him that my sound was better with my PA system ... this past Saturday as I was packing up, a staff member passed by, told me I did a great job and commented that the sound was great ...
Maybe the BOSE wasn't EQ'd right for me, or MAYBE they are just not for everyone ...
