That's a noble attitude Donny. Let's see if it stands the test of time smile. Of course do you realize that your 'epiphany' may not apply to everyone, right? For the record, I can personally identify with a lot of what you said; in my case, I realize(d) that the organ (ala Joey D./Jimmy Smith/etc.) is the only PERFORMING instrument I'm interested in, with everything else being more of a musical and technological curiosity. Because of that, I am MOST interested in the resurgence of various new 'clonewheels' coming to market. As for 'Arrangers', I find the people that 'love' them more interesting than the actual instruments themselves. Except for the contributions of a few people like Bachus, Abacus, and a few others, the gist, content, etc. of this forum is skewed much more towards people and personalities than towards music and music technology. There are many more posts about boats, health issues, lifestyles, who bought what (not WHY they bought it), kids and grandkids, etc., etc. etc, than about music. Nothing wrong with that; it's just that IMO this is as much (if not more) a social media forum as it is a music forum.

Just my thoughts for the day smile.
