Anybody remember that famous performance by Ella Fitzgerald where she forgot the lyrics to Mack the Knife? She just made something up (something like, "I forgot now, the lyrics to this song now") and it ended up being one of her most memorable performances. Not particularly relevant to this conversation but it just came to mind while reading the above posts .
