The only numbers I would look at are SPL and degree coverage. There, you at least have a common starting point. It's also obvious that the new Class D digital amps are not as 'warm/clean' sounding as the class H or A/B analog amps used in the previous power speakers.

One thing is clear ... the newer stuff is generally way lighter than the old stuff ... but then again, you cannot really defy physics ... you've got to move sound to hear it ...until our hearing mechanisms are 'upgraded' too!
