Uncle Dave, maybe you should also post this on the Korg forums, there are a few people overthere that would be hapy to help you solve your problem..
Good tip - already did post there, and got a few suggestions of things I already tried. Frankie V has confirmed that the manual is correct, and works as it should, so at least I have a starting point. I need to talk to service people at this point. At least I know it'll be functional for me when it's made right!
