Looks to me like the low end arranger module... Little brother of the Midj Pro
The SD-3 had no sliders either, did it? And you cannot really call the SD-3 a low end, at least not low-budget module. Twice the price of the Roland BK-7m.
The MidjPro is not focused on styles so much and has a limited number, I guess the SD 40 will have more variety of styles.
