I really hope it's a newer version of the Audya. With the Audya Ketron was not so secretive about it's release...

Yeah Donny, looks like they were replaced by knobs. I also noticed one Fill only. Looks like Ketron did minimilized the design of this module which is good in some aspect. Well let's just wait for few days, at least Ketron brought some excitement again.

You maybe right Bachus as the packaging and size looks identical with the classic MidJay

The SD-3 had no sliders either, did it? And you cannot really call the SD-3 a low end, at least not low-budget module. Twice the price of the Roland BK-7m.
The MidjPro is not focused on styles so much and has a limited number, I guess the SD 40 will have more variety of styles.

It can't have anything to do with an SD 4, as that's just a simple sound module without styles, an SD 2 with buttons. No, IMO it's clearly a successor of the SD 3.

Consider that Ketron had two bigger modules (or three, with the Audya) in parallel all the years:
- a multimedia player named Midjay/Midjay plus -> succeeded by MidjPro
- a style-focussed module named SD 3 -> now obviously succeeded by SD 40.
